  1. a few people here who don’t  understand aikido stick to playing your computer games.
and leaving worthless uneducated comments. ?
+ajay sabarish I think you need to see aiki for yourself in my honest opinion you need to

    1) LEAVE KEYBOARD TYPING ALONE BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TYPING ABOUT
    2) INSTEAD OF SAYING THIS CANT BE DONE THAT CANT BE DONE TRY IT
    3) WHEN YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF AIKIDO THEN COMEBACK ON YOU TUBE AND TELL YOUR STORY ?
    4) GOOD LUCK ?

  2. for me, it´s clear that aikido won´t work against another fully resisting martial artist, but many experts claim otherwise, and I´m willing to believe them. a real martial arts mistery this aikido.

  3. In my opinion, video reveals that attackers levels and angles are so excentric in order to give aikido master a chance to work, that in a modern context became impossible to apply this technics in a safe and succesful way.

  4. Why does this look fake? It looks fake if you don’t know anything.

For starters, there is no way to practice things 100% realistically and still be safe. I repeat, there is no way to practice 100% realistically and still be safe. Anyone who says they only practice realistically is trying to sell something.

With that said, why does this look so fake? True, someone is not going to fall like that. But pause some of those moves as he’s applying them and you’ll find out why his opponents are so cooperative. Some of those guys are falling on purpose, because if they don’t they’ll injure themselves very badly. I see some neck breaks in there. I see some arm bars. And even in the techniques I don’t see those things, I see an off balanced opponents in a very bad spot with the Aiki guy in the high ground.

  5. I had the immense honer of training under Mr Yates for nearly 12 years and can tell you this.
This is nothing to what i have seen him do.
This is only fake to the extent that the very ends of each technique is adjusted ever so slightly to make it safe for his opponents to save from getting hurt or killed. Believe me this stuff can leave you seriously hurt if done wrong, I’ve been on the receiving end of some nasty stuff through the years and have the scars to prove it. Sensai Yates makes a point of showing the safe version for practice purposes and then verbally explaining and showing if possible the true version designed to mangle and mame.
And also in real life sensai Yates is one of the nicest guys you could meet.

  6. Ottimo, davvero molto molto preparato dal punto di vista marziale. Difficile oggi vedere ancora Maestri del genere soprattutto in un arte come l’Aikido. Complimenti !!!

  7. lol yawn someone call when this “martial art” has a technique that doesn’t literally require an opponent to play along with the technique and be totally submissive
